Individual Therapy

Individual therapy is for anyone looking to work on themselves or better their life. This process can look unique for each individual, with different goals to focus on based on your personal needs. It is a collaborative approach where we will discuss your concerns and identify goals to set together. Some goals may include wanting to work on better understanding of your mental health with education, identification of triggers and learning coping skills to manage symptoms effectively. Along with learning new tools to improve your daily life, processing past issues, stress management, emotional regulation, improving relationships, or learning mindfulness strategies. I use a variety of treatment modalities including CBT, DBT, relational, art therapy, positive psychology, and relaxation/mindfulness.

Couples Therapy

Couples therapy services are offered for all relationship dynamics including married, newlyweds, polyamorous, or just casually dating. Whether you are looking to learn healthier communication skills, conflict resolution, boundary setting, attachment styles, love languages, or just overall relationship maintenance, my training from the Gottman Institute and years working in the field prove beneficial.

This is an all-inclusive, LGBTQIA+ safe space.

Child Therapy

Working with children and adolescents requires a warm and friendly approach, with creating a safe space to foster trust and vulnerability. I aim to provide that comfort to my young clients when working together, and moving at a speed that they feel comfortable with. Some therapy goals may consist of learning emotional regulation, identification of feelings and understanding how they show up in the body, coping skills, distress tolerance, social skills, self-esteem, body positivity, and more. In order to help keep therapy a fun and engaging process while virtual, my methods include worksheets, videos, books, art activities, talking, and some at home projects when required.

Meet the Therapist

Heather Chateauneuf-Gagne MS, LMHC

Hi there!

I’m glad you’ve found my page, either by chance or choice. I know that finding the right therapist is absolutely essential to effective treatment. I’ve also had the experience of being on the other end of the computer and sitting in the client’s chair. As a therapist I pride myself on my ability to connect with others and form genuine therapeutic relationships. I strive to establish a warm and caring relationship and work from a place of empathy, and acceptance in my practice.

My hope is to assist you in building on your strengths and better collaborate with you towards meeting your goals so that you can live the meaningful life you deserve. I want to help empower all my clients with learning the coping skills needed to live your lives to the highest quality so that one day you will no longer need my support.

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of MA, and have served previously as a therapist in a school setting, a non-profit agency and group private practice. I have enjoyed my work with children, adolescents, adults, and couples over the past several years. My areas of interest include anxiety, self-esteem, depression, body positivity, relationships, major life changes, stress, and ADHD.

While change takes time, I appreciate the time you took to learn more about me. I look forward to the opportunity of us being able to work together.
